Scenario: You Have $500 Store Credit

I like warren's idea -- if I got a pipe I liked, and some first rate tins and maybe tubs or bulk, some high end cigars would be of interest. I don't do cigars, mostly, but have always bought on budget.

I’d spend it on a Becker pipe, get a good Old Boy lighter and the rest on tobacco, that’s how I’d stretch $500 anyway.

Like bassbug, I'd probably get one of the fancy meerschaums I've admired and then pad the cellar a bit. Since it's the giving season, maybe divert a portion to the "pipes for the needy" movement.

I have more than enough pipes and tobaccos. So, I'd spend it on unobtainium and share it with others.

I would spend about $200 to $300 on a pipe and the rest on tobacco.

All tobacco for me. Cellar hard and deep. pipes are dime a dozen , and I sure as shit wouldn’t pay retail for a pipe, way better deals in auctions if you know what you want and it’s worth.

Some good responses in here - great case to be made for tobacco because who knows what’s going on with the FDA - so that’s a good point.
The credit is from a possible trade in on several pipes that just sat on the bench for years so I figured someone else would get more use out of them than I currently was.
I’ll post what I grab if I go forward with it.
