I love Savinelli pipes but I've noticed about a 20% plus increase in their prices in just 1 year. A few months ago someone mentioned Punto Oro's increasing and they definitely went way up! Has anyone noticed this with any other pipes?

I love Savinelli pipes, particularly their model 111 billiards in the Miele and Eleganza series. The company is obviously making a move to more expensive pipes via their Collection series to compete alongside Ser Jacopo and Cavicchi, and even Castello. Their Autograph series pipes can run over $1,000. We will see how that works out.

This Eleganza 111 may be the most bang for the buck of any factory pipe on the market:

Eggs actually went down on price a little..Prices of almost everything went up-pipes,tobacco,construction materials, etc...I am so happy that i do not have to buy any of that anymore.I stopped doing any projects involving any overpriced(new normal) materials.they can keep it.I got all my savinellis I ever need ..There are still reasonable prices of estate pipes at the pipe shows..

The US dollar is well on its way to rivaling the German mark circa 100 years ago. So many things have gone up in price, but some have actually gone down. Which, after reading a certain 2002 essay authored by the now infamous Ben Bernanke (it's called "Deflation: Making Sure It Doesn't Happen Here"), must be the US government's worst nightmare come to pass...

I’ve noticed many Nordings have shot up in price, getting a little too high IMO, but Eric the red are good value…. Some Savs too, I’ve seen anywhere from 5 percent reasonable based on Inflation, to 20% yes. Still lots of good value lines, Miele rusticated, Fantasia rusticated, Roma, ect. Still good value for quality imo.

A product like Savinelli doesnt really make much reality upon inflation and its yearly cost changes.

Honestly, i think the sudden upchange in their prices on the traditional pipe websites, is most likely based on a "we spent alot of money on the new santa pipes... lets raise teh price on everything else so if santa pipes fail miserably, we wont loose as much"

All the meer carvers seem to have drastically increased in price. Sadly, their carving of classic shapes has continued to be wanting.
Mostly through distributors. The carvers themselves still usually sell for half of what distributors charge.
