I just picked this up. I don’t believe it’s ever been smoked. I know they were rebranded “Qandale”. I was wondering how collectible this one might be? Any thoughts?

Those have their audience, but like all collectibles, the collector determines the collectibility, haha! Pretty neat find, especially being unsmoked! Were you hunting one of those, or did you stumble across it?

I saw it on a table at a pipe show and thought it was neat. I didn't know about the litigation or rebranding. The gentleman didn't want much for it, but I had just bought my Ranz freehand and was out of new pipe money. I contacted him a few days later and he still had it, so I bought it. That's when I started trying to find information about it. I don't expect it's worth much, but it's interesting.

It’s always cool to have something that’s no longer made (well...except for asbestos insulation, or a blood-letting kit...)!

I often imagine that some of the world’s most collectible pipes are laying in a trunk or attic somewhere...might even be destined for the dumpster after an estate sale.
