Good old mouth moisture and a paper napkin! I got the napkin wet, placed it over the rim and held it there while I scrubbed the internals with some pipe cleaners and alcohol. After a minute or so, a sturdy wipe and most of it was gone. I followed up with some gentle work with micro mesh pads.
