Sifting slowly through the mountain of pipes I acquired today, mostly in search of keepers when I noticed this Oom Paul style marked Savinelli Autograph. Seems this line is pretty popular with unused pipes listing between $300 and $1500 pre-sale on Smoking Pipes (https://www.smokingpipes.com/pipes/new/savinelli-autograph/)

Most of the pipes in the collection retail under $100 new, not surprising with a 200 piece collection otherwise I would expect it to be much smaller. Fully tracking that used pipes are worth well less than new ones, did I stumble on a gem, or is Smoking Pipes just way overpriced?

Agreed that is not the original stem. The gold tends to wear off quickly however, so if you have the correct stem in your assortment, it may look less flashy. Alternatively, that could be a replacement.

As to pricing, when Smoking Pipes took over distribution of Savinelli, I noticed the Autograph line get significantly more expensive. Most of mine were purchased in the Seventies for about $65.

Looking at eBay I'm seeming about $150-$250 seems to be the average for new ones on that platform. Rather, u smoked

Autographs are very collectable.
Ive sold a few on ebay and they always sold for over $300.
One sold for $400.
Just get the stem thing figured out.
I don't know if that's the original one. I've only seen black stems on Autographs.

There seems to be a few for sale on Smoking Pipes with other colors, but all have marked stems.

Went through the loose stems and none were marked for Savinelli, but this one does fit real nice so even if it's a replacement it would smoke nice
