I'll post picturesAppears to be acrylic, never heard of Savinelli using amber. What's the hole in the mouthpiece look like?
Wow, being orific, that could actually be amber. Which line is the pipe from?
Looks like you've got yourself a rare bird. The site I bought it from said Savinelli Elegance 313 Amber stem briar pipe. It came from France so it may be called something else.
Now i have to decide if I'm going to smoke it or just display it. I'm leaning towards display I know amber can be very brittle.Looks like you've got yourself a rare bird.
It's not too bad. I've got a pipe from 1912 that didn't survive its age but the stem and bone tenon are in perfect condition. Just don't expose it to a lot of UV, that will make it brittle. Nothing wrong with a display only piece either though. Now i have to decide if I'm going to smoke it or just display it. I'm leaning towards display I know amber can be very brittle.
Smoke it!Now i have to decide if I'm going to smoke it or just display it. I'm leaning towards display I know amber can be very brittle.
I'll have to give that some thought while I puff on my beater pipeSmoke it
I have not how would I go about getting in contact with them? tbh I never even thought about that.It is a nice pipe and might well be an amber stem. Did you ask Savinelli??
You could go through smokingpipes.com, they're a licensed distributor.I have not how would I go about getting in contact with them? tbh I never ever thought about that.
