Savinelli 6mm Charcoal in Corn Cob

Well, I have used 6mm Balsa filters in my Corn Cob. I decided to give their charcoal filters a try. No go, they won't fit in a CC. They are the same length, just a slightly wider circumference. Now Im going to have to order a Savinelli pipe to go with them.

Yeah, it’s been a learning curve figuring out what filters actually work in an MM cob. I’ve concluded that only Medico/Grabow paper filters and Savinelli Balsa fit as far as commercial options, and wooden skewers that I break into sections.

I use Vauen 6mm filters in my mm cob, and the result is really nice, I wonder if those are smaller than savinelli

Thanks, I may try that. Ive read the Vauen works in Cobs from a few people. My stem is acylic, Doc Cob, so I am hoping that will help. Missouri Meerchaum said it "may" work, but there is no guarantee. I still want to buy a 6mm Savinelli pipe, of course.

Thanks, I may try that. Ive read the Vauen works in Cobs from a few people. My stem is acylic, Doc Cob, so I am hoping that will help. Missouri Meerchaum said it "may" work, but there is no guarantee. I still want to buy a 6mm Savinelli pipe, of course.

I have two Missouri Pride with plastic steams listed for 6mm filters, as long as I know, the acrylic steams are not drilled to hold any filter, and that is something that hold me to get the nicer models of cobs, may be there is enough shank space to hold a filter, o may be no. I hate the paper filters, but the Savinelli balsa filters and sometimes the Vauen carbon filters give me a better experience, so I will stick to the plastics stems

The Doc Cob, Wyatt Cob, Iceland Cob and Featured Cobolt Legend have 6mm acrylic stems.
