That is an easy restoration - I love working on those Four Dot stems
I loved the Wire video, I had to google that band! (and I'm listening to Pink Flag now)

Beefeater - it was a revelation to me and won me over how a petite prince smoked, just about perfect!

But I still love my grp3-4 straight billiards too of course!
Al - yeah, Wire is great! I have the On Returning: 1977-1979 cd and it's simply brilliant,

it's stupendous road music too!
Somewhat similar would be The Fall, they have about a million albums, but this song ties into the wire theme...

"ya don't hafta be weird to be wired"
...and yeah, the resto should be no problem. I like to build up a few and then take a whole day doing a group resto for some reason. The main problem I have with the blasts is removing stubborn cake from the rim, I have a variety of different toothbrushes with bristles cut to different length and other assorted tools, but it takes alotta elbow grease to maintain the blast crispness on well-caked rims...

I used Mike G's method of inverting the bowl top into a millimeter or two of distilled water, soak for 10 minutes and then use an old toothbrush. But, that has limitations with blasted pipes.

...circa 1960 catalogue
THE LITEWATE
Sasieni has selected a handful of favourite shapes and reduced them to "half-pint" size, and the result - a beautifully finished little pipe for that short smoke. Available in either a Rustic finish (similar to "Old England") or a smooth rich plum. In addition to the shapes shown opposite the Litewate can be supplied in miniature of the following styles: - 16, 21, 38, 58, 78.
( the shape numbers on opposite page were: 23, 25, 30, 35, 58, 77.)
