Sasieni made a lot of pipes for a lot of years. Another will turn up.

It's inevitable, Al. Older collectors are passing away and their once highly valued collections are hitting the market at a greatly reduced price. We'll reap the sad benefits because we belong to a hobby that is slowly but surely withering away. And no amount of Emo styling, pork pie hat and pegged slacks wearers will stem the tide.
You'll find another affordable, eight dot Sasieni Ashford sooner than you thinks.

It's true. Recently bought a bunch of pipes that someone found in a garage sale. Mostly Dunhills and Charatans, but one smooth family era Ashford.

Amazing, the pipe was relisted with the crack disclosed and it still brought $276.

Here's my Sasieni Heartbreak. I picked this up CHEAP, so I'm not too dis-appointed. But still, the seller didnt show the bottom of the pipe. The seller listed it as a buy it now, and I jumped on it. Its a patent era, fishtailed "ALTCAR", with stinger intact. The Pat. # is on the stem, pipe is too small for a lot of nomenclature. Its still a great little pipe- 25 grams and 5-1/4" long, and OH that early Sas rustication!!.......

the seller didnt show the bottom of the pipe.

Beefeater, whether you got it cheap or not, the seller should have shown a photo of the bottom of the pipe. There's no way, in my opinion that crack in the shank could be missed. Looks to me, the seller just chose to leave it unseen. I would be pretty ticked off.
