Craig, as a guy who really likes Sasieni pipes, and has quite a few, I'll say it again; I like the contrast of the natural finish you have there on the rim. I suppose you could darken it, but I wouldn't do it by much. :)

I'm with dmc & bob -- you could if you wanted to, & were just a stickler for A factory look. Frankly I like it the way it is -- definitely a worthy looker!

Nice clean up! I'm gonna second Dave on leaving the rim as it is. It adds a bit of snazziness to the pipe.
Not only do the dots fade, there were color variations batch to batch as well.
My Moorgate is one of my favorite workhorse pipes. I just wish that Sasieni had used a better quality vulcanite back then.
