I've checked the 'Pipe Store Locator' here, on Pipesmagazine.com for pipe stores in New Mexico and found the Santa Fe Cigar Co. I'm going to be in SF on business and want to visit the local shops.
The reviews are few so I was wondering if has anyone been there? Do they have a lounge?
Any info is appreciated.

I live in Albuquerque NM. My local BM is Stag Tobacconists. They are owned by the same family here in NM. Stag has a great selection of tobacco and pipes here in Abq, not sure how much different the Santa Fe store is but im sure they are probably similar. Good luck and enjoy NM!

My wife wants to visit an old friend in SF and show me the Southwest. No immediate plans, but on our

travel list. So this is a useful reminder. I'll keep these places in mind. Are there any house blends

that couldn't be bought online or elsewhere? Or carvers who only sell mostly in SF? One of my favorite

carvers in NC just about only sells at the State Fair or the pipe show (TAPS this Saturday, April 12, '14).

He's not online, except as a pipe repairman (Jerry Perry).

Santa Fe attracts the elitist Hollywood types, so outside of a smoking lounge, I don't think you are allowed to smoke many places.
I've walked all over Santa Fé, happily puffing my pipe, and haven't had any problems with anybody. Of course, I'm not an elitist Hollywood type, more like a migrant film worker.
Try the green chili stew and sopaipillas at Tia Sophia!

25 ft. From any entrance pretty much puts you in the street of any touritsty area.....run Forrest, run!
True, and there aren't a lot of non touristy areas, much less wide streets, but I just ignore the rules and nobody seems to hassle me. Might be different if I were smoking a cigarette.

Haven't been to either in 5-6 years, but Stag Tobacconists is a pretty nice shop that is owned by two sisters.
Sante Fe was a nice shop, but if I remember correctly it was on the smaller side so I don't know that there's a place to smoke in there.

Thanks, guys. Very helpful. Time permitting I'll visit both Stag and Primo.
