San Antonio Pipe Maker

I have been wanting to make pipes for a very long time. I am looking for a pipe maker in San antonio or surrounding to maybe watch, hang out, maybe work under, apprentice, or even just talk about making pipes. If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't know of any offhand. Other forum members may be able to help you with specific names, but I have a few suggestions that may help.
1. Check the pipemaker forums online. They exchange quite a bit of information and even if they are not in your area, somebody there may offer to give you some help and guidance.
2. Check the list of American pipemakers on Pipedia.
3. Do an online search for tobacco pipe makers in Texas.

Here's another idea. Try contacting pipe supply online businesses that sell stems, briar, etc. The Pipe Makers Emporium in Phoenix is very friendly and may know someone near you. This is their web page, http://www.pipemakers.org/
