He's right, almost all of my hard to get blends I've gotten with a similar set up
SameMy experience is that B&M's, where ever they are, are the way to go if you're looking for "hard to find" stuff. You just have to be a "regular" customer.
Same reason all of my GH/SG is pre 2018.Worked that way for years, and I have a good stock of it, now nicely aged, from before Esoterica went to hell around 2020-21.
Yup.Wanted to get a bit of Cabbie's as well. I love SP, but allowing people to buy 25 tins at a time means that the pipe tobacco hoarders, scalpers and walking dead scoop up the inventory to the detriment of sp's wider customer base. Indeed, SP can conduct business as it wishes and selling the product is, of course, the ultimate business goal but it seems penny-wise and pound-foolish to not expand the customer base and, instead, have what can only be a small minority of said customers to monopolize and hoard the products.
I saw this earlier, too, but only because i was searching for an alternate site for the new Per Jensen stuff. While it turned out they didn't have the one i wanted most (Brothers In Arms), but they did have some Chocolate Flake burnt ends, which i grabbed a box of.I saw that Oxford has. I assumed others got inventory.
Have you had Bob's? I'm curious how much they differ.I saw this earlier, too, but only because i was searching for an alternate site for the new Per Jensen stuff. Bobs is better in my opinion. From my recollection Bob’s has more chocolate, less Latakia, which I prefer.Have you had Bob's? I'm curious how much they differ.
It's dumb...many smaller retailers were not able to get their full ordersmissed out on Golden Glow. It's insane they have a 25 tin max on Cabbie's... unless they have a ton of it.
Have been smoking both for years.Have you had Bob's? I'm curious how much they differ.
I concur. Bob's is mellower and sweeter, less funk. Personally, i like 'em both.Bob’s has more chocolate, less Latakia
Yup, much too rich for my blood. Years ago when FVF was set at a reasonable price, I smoked it regularly. That and Best Brown were the only blends of theirs's I smoked. But, don't miss them.Expensive!
