That's so odd, to me I get the Black Ropes and can taste them, while the brown boogers are just an acrid sensation.
Oh well, we don't compete for resources!

ashdigger, I’d be into a rope tasting for sure. This is my first rope but it won’t be my last. I’ve got my eye on some Brown Irish X, as well.

The ultimate experience for Strong Smoke fans. It is known by me and among my friends as "The Shit"... 8)
-- 5 parts Kandal Kentucky
-- 2 parts Brown Bogie
-- 1 part #4 Brown Rope
Slice the ropes to match the cut-width of your particular batch of KK (it varies a bit), rub out fully, measure, mix by hand, let everything dry somewhat more than you think is necessary, and jar.
All proportions are by volume / "pile size" and approximate, since precision doesn't matter, but weigh it if you prefer.
If this blend was sold as a pre-mix no other pipe tobacco would ever have to be produced, the world would be at peace, and everyone would be a billionaire. :D
Definitely need to try this! Thanks for the tip.
Wondering how it would mix with Dark Flake as well.

Well! Someone started a thread a month or so ago about this very combination.
I also think Brown No. 4 is a nice condiment for Latakia blends. I was adding some to SPC's Hood Canal. At around 30%, it's too much, and gives the smoke a bit of harshness. At like 10-15%, it's really nice.
