Not as much money in that. They prefer to use barely sealed tins, because someone told them that the tins were too hard to open.
Apparently they can’t meet demand.
I think finally I got whatever I wanted to cellar (Except a certain Esoterica blend, which I cannot buy anyway, as I am generally not inclined to buy from the secondary market)

SG is not offered in bulk, or at least nowhere I shop. Unless you mean those half pound boxes.
Have you heard them say they will offer bulk?
I was speaking of the 250g boxes. If you buy SG from a jar in a shop in the UK, it came from a 250g box. So for me the boxes =bulk.I haven't seen the shipment manifest from GH to Laudisi, but I would be shocked if they shipped out a full container load of only GH and SG tins.
I want to say this is the second time this year that I have been able to stock up on these blends. I am so thankful, this holiday season, that G&H is still in business with other larger houses recently closing up shop. Kudos to them for doing what they do. Thanks again for the heads up here as I was running low on some favorites.
Being fairly new to the piping game, I’ve never had FVF or BestBrown, so I got two tins of each. One to smoke, one to cellar. Excited.

The tins are not designed for long term storage.
Dont ask me what is long term,so yes best to jar it if you plan to store for many years
250 gram boxes are roughly 8oz ,so they do sell in this size,at least on the Uk they do,and i assume will to the US as well

Until the time that this issue is completely solved, Watch City will only warranty that Gawith tobacco will arrive in good condition. Popped or crushed tins will not be replaced so long as the tobacco arrives in good condition. We sell Gawith as tobacco to be smoked, not collectible tins. We ask that all Gawith tins be opened upon arrival and the contents checked. If you wish to cellar sealed tins of Gawith, please seal the unopened tins in a Mylar bag or similar. This is good practice with all tins."
They're already aged. Stop faffing about and smoke 'em!

Saw the post about the 10% off so went to SP to see about ordering my Christmas present from my wife-she doesn't know how to go about ordering from them herself. It did say 10% off but when I put my present in the cart-a pound of Kendall dark vintage cut to try for the first time, (do love dark fired), it still listed the original price, but I thought, what the hell, and bought anyway.Or maybe not. Prices are back to what they were. Dunno what happened, but it's too late to delete my prior post.
