Hello. I have experimented with pipe smoking a half dozen or so times in the past. I guess I am what one might refer to as a codeer or boomer and always enjoyed being around my grandfather and father while they smoked their pipes. I honestly can't remember what the primary tobacco my grandfather smoked because he always had it in a buttery soft black leather pouch. I do remember he smoked several different ones,"cherry" brand being one that I remember. My father was a straight Half and Half guy. I have pleasant memories of both of them, now passed.
I started my most recent foray into pipe smoking, having recently purchased a couple of estate pipes from a local thrift store. I then proceeded to the local tobacco shop and purchased a small amount of a few different blends, a burly cavendish, a cherry blend and also a pouch of Carter hall.
I am enjoying the experience considerably more this time around. Hope to get recommendations and learn by joining this forum.
Cheers.
