First I've heard KBV. Is he in the states?

His other blends sound interesting. I didn't see a way to sign up for emails or notifications of new blends. Any tips other than just checking his site frequently?

Can anyone compare this blend to GH&C Cherry Cream Flake?

Well, I don't have the most sophisticated palate, but I've smoked both in the past week so I'll give it a try.
CCF is VA forward, with more of a sour cherry flavor and a definite Lakeland/soapy presence. It reminded me of Gawith Brown Flake, only with cherry flavor.
With Sakura, you can taste the VA, but there is a strong presence from the Orientals, and the topping is much more floral/cherry blossom than straight cherry.
They're pretty different blends, and I think both are very good and worth having on hand.

Nothing like it. CCF is a cherry aromatic, Sakura is as the name implies, a cherry blossom aro. Nothing like cherry.
