Wow, so nice of all of you to respond, it is so very uplifting to know that there is so much support. Humphrey will be greatly missed. Strange thing is that untill we got Humphery and Bogart, I was not a cat lover. Amazing how the personality of an animal can change a persons way of thinking. It is comforting to know that he is no longer in pain and we have many pictures an memories to relive. Thanks for all the nice comments, they are greatly appreciated!

Sorry for your loss. We had to put down my beloved Bandit ( Maine Coon male ) 2 years ago for the same exact reason. He suffered like a trooper until we could not help him anymore except end his suffering.

Will smoke a bowl for Humphrey under the midnight sun here in Anchorage.

Been there a couple of times myself, Fisher, and I know the pain. Pets become family members and I can't imagine heaven without those we hold near and dear.
Thinking of you and your wife tonight, friend-o.

Sorry to hear this. It sounded like you were managing his problem. As I mentioned in your previous post, we had this same problem and it ended the same way. Be happy he is no longer in pain... :(

Terrible to lose your friend, I liked your previous posts on your two feline friends, I also have two similiar versions of your boys. A orange tabby named Bailey(7) and a grey tabby named Demetri(3). I would be devastated by a loss and wish you the best.

Sorry to hear bud. Amazing how a pet can can become such a big part of life, and always sucks to lose one.

Sorry for your loss. Pets are a part of the family and when it is time to make that decision it is never easy. I have one dog( a yorkie ) who is 8 years old and doing well. We just got a new puppy 4 months ago, an American Bulldog and he is becoming quite the gentleman. I can't imagine not having some kind of pet. Maybe if you get another cat it will take away the hurt of losing Humphrey.
