I just picked up this billiard at auction basically because I’ve never seen one before in my years of collecting. The description indicates it was made in France in 1964 and has been stored since 1980. It appears to be unsmoked with original paperwork. Anyone have any information on Dupont pipes? Thank you.

The shape is between a Canadian and a billiard

(Tap on photos to enlarge. Photo quality not the best since they are screenshots until I actually receive the pipe.)

Wow, that's pretty. I would have thought that more "Canadian" in shape. But either way, stunning pipe! Nice grab, Mike.

Edit: 4th picture from the top, is there nomenclature INSIDE the chamber?

I just checked Pipepedia, not a lot of info on Dupont pipes unfortunately.

I‘m still waiting receipt of the pipe from the seller in Califormia, but that photo does look like a stamping (oddly) inside the bowl as well.

Thx for your research efforts. I guess I’m going to have to start looking for a period Dupont pipe lighter…

The marks inside the bowl are from the clamps they used during manufature.....
That's a nice looking pipe!! I, too, think more Canadian than billiard........
