RYO Grinder For Pipe Tobacco?

I run nearly all my tobacco thru my Uber grinder.

I like the codger blend cut that results.

My son uses a grinder a lot, but I don't smoke what he does.

I prefer to hand cut what needs it. But I smoke mostly shag, ready rubbed or flake which is easily loadable as is or rubbed out.

I've used one of these with various success. They don't seem to work if the flake is a thicker cut, like sometimes how Samuel Gawith flakes are in bulk form.
I still prefer rubbing out the flakes into a shag though.
