Good article, pairing pipe tobacco and anything other than coffee, tea, or water has been somewhat of a challenge for me.
It’s amazing what a difference the right paired beverage can make. Example: I’m a scotch drinker but never really enjoyed peaty single malts until I once paired one with a strong spicy cigar... Now I keep a peaty bottle in my liquor cabinet.

I like vanilla blends with Amaretto de Amore'.

And, Martini's with latakia.

Also, a good all around match with the pipe is Ezra Brooks.

I don't consume wine with any frequency.

The last I had was some local Muskadine Wine.
