The recent thread regarding Royal Yacht and similar blends made me want to ask this question...
Can someone outline the blending history of Royal Yacht? I know that it has changed hands with all of the Dunhill blends over the years.
When did Murray's stop blending RY? When did Orlik begin? Is Orlik still the blender today in May of 2015?
As I've stated, I have enjoyed RY for quite a while and love what I know as Royal Yacht - but as weird as this might sound, I don't know what RY I have been smoking through the years....

Howdy Clark,
Royal Yacht first was released by Dunhill London when they were blending their own tobaccos back in the 1920s. Blending was shifted to Murray's in about 1980. When Murray's went out of business in 2005, Orlik began blending Royal Yacht in 2006 and has been the blender since that time.
