Royal Comoy Kruger Restored

I just finished the Royal Comoy shape 17. Full restoration details are on the Reborn Pipes blog. It was in good condition, so a relatively easy restoration. I was surprised to discover that it passes a thin cleaner.

Beautiful pipe and nicely refinished! I don't know of any other wood that has those amazing swirls. Van Gogh was a pipe smoker, maybe the swirls in his briar gave him the idea...

Amboyna Burl patterns are fantastic; it’s sometimes used as a laminate on humidors.
