My Dad served with the US Army in Sinop, Turkey during the early 60's. While there he aquired a few meerschaums and after smoking them a while they got shelved where my brother and I abused them mercilessly. My Dad gave me a couple of the rough ones to get fixed and keep them in the family. They mostly have tenon problems and I don't care for the stems. I think they are Bakerlite?

The grapevine has a loose tenon and the Turk has a snapped tenon that was epoxied in the mortise. :/
Cant wait to get them fixed, re-stemmed, and smoked.

Those are quite unique. Definitely worth having repaired.

It is always nice to keep a pipe smoking connection with our progenitors.

Make sure you post up photos when you have them repaired.

Are those bakelite or amber stems? Amber was in wide use in the 1960s. It is hard on the teeth and makes a poor pipestem.
