She was greatly appreciated and respected by many. Unquestionably talented as well as iconic.
All that said I would be remiss to not mention “Killing me Softly” is in my top three creepiest songs of all time. The song gives me the hee bee gee bees.

The first summer job I had was at a company which was owned by one of Roberta's initial "career investors". A handful of people who believed she'd become a star one day, and did stuff to get her noticed.

He used to say she sang like an angel.

Pretty good description, that.

"The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" was the first song I ever considered a favorite, and it remains at the top of my list all of these decades later.

Roberta Flack was an amazingly talented singer and a truly great person. The world is a lesser place without her.
