I still haven’t gotten over the passing of Glenn Frey but had the great pleasure of seeing all the Eagles and their former mates in concert not too long before he passed and it was incredible.

BTO was part of the music that I fell in love with at a young age. Two of their tracks are on my relatively short Jeep playlist which is reserved for top down blaring rock and roll “down the highway”.

I resolve to work at nothing all day tomorrow!

Bittersweet.

I was playing at a weekly jam session sometime in the mid-90s when this bass player came to sit in with us. The guitar player who was about 20 years older than me got all excited. "Do you know who that is??? That's Fred Turner!" Meant nothing to me at the time. For all I know I probably jammed with Robbie Bachman at some point too. I've crossed paths with his brother once or twice. BTO kinda did suck, but in a good way. Every Winnipeger I know has a love-hate relationship (or just hate) with Burton Cummings/The Guess Who/BTO. Just a little anecdote. RIP Robbie.
