At first glance, I thought this RIP was for the head of Blackrock...no further comment.

Larry Fink was one of the greatest. He moved around with a Rollei 6x6 and an unbounded flashlight to shoot in his neighbourhood or hi society parties. He was very quick and witty with that slow equipment, unmasking situation’s meanwhile being social critical. One of my favourite black n white photographers, in the beginning I hoped to get as good as he did. Sad he died.

“Social Graces” is his best known work, get it if you can.

I’ve got a copy of the book he did with Rolland Hein about the Scottish Victorian writer George MacDonald. It’s great. Rolland Hein actually gave me the book years ago.

I didn't know much about Larry Fink until I read his obituary, I'll have to check him out. Elliot Erwitt also passed the same week.
