89. One of the last poker legends from the "old days." Off to the Great Game In The Sky, where there's no rake, and no one is ever on tilt.

RIP!
actually the cheating is worse. The one problem with heaven is while you can break some ones fingers, it's actually still kind of pleasant. Even jail and homelessness is great there.

I remember some friends of mine read Super System and started destroying us at the table.

Doyle was one of those guys that I felt like would live forever. RIP.

To be good at poker, whether you cheat or win by skill, you have to have some idea of what is in other peoples' hands. I never had a solid grasp of what was in my hands. But it is a high art and fundamentally mathematical. RIP to the man with the hand.

I know very little about poker and never heard of Mr. Brunson (RIP) but this thread reminded me of this story I saw the other day. So does this mean men have some inherent advantage over women in poker? Perhaps it's more difficult for women to maintain a poker face.

Hughes, a 70-year-old from Delton, Florida, was allowed to enter the all-female tournament alongside 82 women.
Per its anti-discrimination legislation, Florida casinos by law cannot ban men from entering into a women’s tournament.
Nevada also prohibits excluding men from competing in a women’s tournament.
Hughes took home $5,555, beating out poker player Dayanna Ciabaton, who placed second.

This gives an entirely new meaning to the poker phrase, "I have the nuts." ♠️♣️♥️♦️🥜 :ROFLMAO:

Among other things as of late, Bud Lite was at one time a prophetic brand.

LOL ... he may not have them for long if he shows up at another women's tournament. You got to know when to run.
By then, he might figure out that it's time to leap into 2023 and just use the ol' "I identify as a woman" strategy. Which would inevitably lead to the "these 3s identify as Aces" strategy, and before you know it, this guy chick will have a royal flush every single hand.

In other words, this will probably end in a gigantic fireball of some kind. We can only hope...
