I am so sorry to hear this. Annie Hall is one of the funniest and wonderful movies ever: Woody and Diane at their very best. All of the movies with Woody brought joy to us. Her role as Kay in the Godfather trilogy is also full of great moments, most especially the scenes at Connie's wedding and the collage scene at the end of Godfather 3 with Michael dancing with the three most impotant women in his life.
At age 70 I know that not one of us is guaranteed a very long life, but 79 seems too young to die.

Diane Keaton was brilliant at everything that she did. She could play drama as well as comedy with equal finesse. When I was working on Coneheads, Diane Keaton and Dan Akyroyd paid our little VFX unit a visit to see how we were recreating Remulak. Both of them were very interested in what we were doing and Diane asked great questions about what we were doing, watching our tests with genuine interest.

I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of actors who showed any interest in what we did and how we did it.

We have some friends visiting from Maryland. We tried to watch Annie Hall last night, after about 20 minutes, we all said "nope". Just couldn't do it. It was Woody Allen, not DK. RIP.

That’s terrific!
I know it didn’t have tremendous returns at the box office, but Coneheads was a childhood favorite!

The only piece of fx in the whole movie that stuck in my craw was when Connie swallowed the Subway sub… chalk it up to poor, early digital fx.

Nothing I can add about Diane Keaton would break any ground, but if you’ve never seen Looking for Mr Goodbar, it’s a wild ride.
Another early role that turned me on to her skills was Sleeper.

I’ve only ever heard nice things about her, so she will be sorely missed.
