CSN ( & sometimes Y) has been my all-time favorite group since I first saw them in Cleveland OH in 1969 and C was a very big part of that group.
Can't say they were my favorite group, but definitely some of my favorite music. Some of it is truly masterful and timeless imo. And yes, Crosby was a very big part of it.

If anyone ever wondered why Melissa Etheridge and her partner chose Crosby as a sperm donor, I suspect it was because of his lineage:

Mother's lineage:

Father's lineage:

Great Grandfather on Mother's side:

RIP David, thanks for the great music.

And it's a fair wind, blowin' warm out of the south on my shoulder
Guess I'll set a course and go

I'm generally not a fan of Crosby's generation's music, but he was certainly very talented. I'm a guitar geek and Crosby owned of the best-sounding Martin guitars in the world. There are some videos floating around out there about it. I wonder who will end up with all his instruments?
