Sir,
Don't be afraid of RB plug. I have a brick stored and a pouch of plug I'm smoking at the mo. It's not like other plugs I've had. Revor clearly gets its sweetness from the top flavoring while the tobacco is relatively dark. It also cuts like nothing else I've ever seen; Revor is just plain easy to prepare.
RB, on the other hand, is a brick. Keep your knife sharp. It's dense. It's also the exact opposite of any other tobacco I've ever smoked as the tobacco is incredibly sweet, maybe too sweet. The Cheviot essence, whatever the hell that is, exists as a bittering agent. The combined effect leaves the taste of a good gingerbread.
Now I'm not a big fan of dedicating pipes, but until you know you like it I'd definitely recommend dedicating a briar. This stuff will ghost a Falcon's aluminum stem. The good news is the funk only gets better.
If you'd like a sample, pm me.
