I recall reading News and Views in the June 2014 issue of The Pipe Collector. For those who don't know, News and Views is a column written by Rich Esserman ,that is worth the annual subscription price alone. Anyway, he was recounting a conversation with the Lane LTD. rep about the discontinued Cope's Escudo. The rep said the entire amount of Escudo sold in the U.S. for the previous year amounted to 250 pounds. I'm surprised any blend survives!
