Revelation tobacco by Philip Morris , opening a sealed old tin

Hello everyone

After a long time I read a wonderful forum, I joined

I hope I can contribute to discussions
Recently I opened a can of REVELATION very old, well-sealed tin ,it was not damaged

The Tobacco was very dry but its aroma is clear (not my taste)

Do you think tobacco aged well & boasted over time or did not have conditions to develop
If anyone had experience of this type tins?

Welcome to the forum.
In looking up Revelation, it seems to contain: Burley, Kentucky, Latakia, Perique, Virginia according to Tobacco Reviews.com
How old is the tin? Is there a date on the can somewhere?
Many folks age their Va's, but it seems that when containing latakia, the verdict on aging is mixed.
If it is too dry, there are some youtubes that show how to re-hydrate tobacco using a simple zip lock bag.

That type of tinned tobacco does not generally age well or at least doesn't retain it's moisture. I have a tin of Prince Albert of similar age that is dry as a bone, but it could be rehydrated and enjoyed, just might take a little time.

The tin i have is from the 50's

This original mixture (Albert Einstein was smoke it)

It's not like her late versions.

When you smell the tobacco it has little odor effects of the ......dust

(and old school's tobacco aroma)

I smoked a ton of that in the early 1970's. I thought it might impart some of Einstein's genius on me in college; I was wrong. that blend also had an anise topping which I assume has dissipated over the decades along with the smokiness of the latakia. Rehydrating it would work but it'll be different than the fresh tin at the time.
