Restored Yello-Bole Handmade

Well this is my 3rd restoration and first time staining. Paid $8.00 for the Handmade on Ebay. I love the look now. I can't believe the rustication was hiding such beautiful briar. I know I have a lot more to learn in this process but am happy with the out come.

I like those old handmades a lot! That one looks really good now. I think that is the first YB I've seen in the HandMade but the 2 KWs I have I love and smoke great. Enjoy it and be prepared to get addicted to the hobby! :D

Mighty fine! You really uncovered some beauty there. I have to ask, did the pipe come with a stinger/scoop?

I did not have any black stain so I used dark brown, then sanded with 1500 grit and hit it with a light coat of Cordova stain. Another light sanding and hit it with buffing wheel.

Cant say I'm surprised I have quite a few older yello boles and they are seriously high quality pipes.
