Restored Dunhill ashtray

I wanted to share this Dunhill Ashtray that I recently purchased on Ebay. I had to do some restoration work, but I think it looks great.

I'd love to see larger photos of it,.....I have one very similar to that but it may just be a cheap copy of the Dunhill. I'd love to learn more about yours, it looks beautiful!

It did not come with a glass part? Do you know more about this ashtray? If so, I'd like to know more?

You should be able to acquire another "amber" colored glass ashtray.

Just measure the stand and find the right diameter.

Shouldn't be too hard to find.

I do not know anything about that particular ashtray, but it was a common model of pipe ashtray back in the day.
Here is a photo of a similar one with the glass ashtray part:

You should be able to find one on e-bay or somewhere. I just didn't want you to start dumping the ash into the wood and messing up what you restored. :D

Bob, it's nice to see the glass in yours is identical to the glass in mine, I had been wondering it was original to the piece.
