I went to the Volunteer Jam, at the Starlight Amphitheater in Nashville in the early nineties. It was a terrific show, and he seemed to be a humble and proud American guy.
RIP to one of the good guys.

Oh nooo. Daddy used to play his music when we would take road trips. As a child this would be like story telling for me. May Charlie Rest in Peace.

I saw him in concert several times in the 70s. I prefer to think of him in those “Uneasy Rider“ days rather than
his later iteration.
