Sorry for your loss, but it wasn't meant to be. Perhaps it's just the lesson of patience that you needed.

Pipes are wonderful practical pieces of art. There are countless excellent carvers out there in many different price ranges that make great smoking instruments. Don't guilt yourself into the loss that you were unable to obtain that gorgeous pipe. There will always be another pipe. Look @chasingembers he has 52 versions of the same pipe, and yet he will inevitably find #53.

Well at least that's what I tell myself every day...and it works like 20% of the time.
YMMV!

Only thirty-two, but may take it down to seven. The Giubileo d'Oro is virtually unsmokable with that acrylic stem so I may make a shadow box display with it. I've mostly lost interest in pipes. Kind of like collecting screwdrivers at this point. If another Weaver pipe up that I like I'll probably grab it, but I'm more into puzzle collecting now.

Wow! That's cool...maybe have a stem made for it? Puzzles are crazy these days, I am sure they keep you busy for hours!

Savinelli can give me a vulcanite one for thirty-five dollars, but I've just lost the interest. A shadow box with a pipe, lighter, a small tobacco leaf, some tobacco seeds, and a background of an old tobacco ad has been on my mind for a while.

The puzzles are great! So many different configurations these days!?
