When I opened up the tin of Mad Fiddler, I was greeted with the most sensational aroma I've ever smelled in a tobacco. Wonderful. Filled a favourite pipe with the stuff right out of the tin, no prep, and smoked it. What a great tobacco! Tasted notes I've never tasted before, and immediately moved this one into my top four!! It also burns very cool, and doesn't deteriorate at the pre-dottle stage like so many others. In fact, if you slow down at that stage, and project the smoke into different areas of your pallate, it reveals more flavours. Going to order three more tins next week when the pension check comes in. To say I'm pleased as a huge understatement!

First Fruits have arrived . . . . I now have a tin of Steamworks and three tins of Mad Fiddler I'm going to baptize tonight! Four other orientals on the way, and i must say, that the Amphora Absolute which I bought here in town (also an Oriental blend) has become one of my faves.

The next order due any day has Sunday Picnic and Bijou in it . . . . . lookin' forward!!

Try Brebbia Balkan. It’s kind of pricy, but totally worth it. It’s phenomenal, actually. It comes aged a bit and is just a wonderful Balkan and Oriental forward blend. Supposedly doesn’t have any Virginias, but does have a good bit of Perique that makes up for it some.
