There was a guy named Max Capps who made some really fantastic cases for his pipes, he also made some really fantastic pipes was well. Unfortunately he seems to have stopped making pipes.

I've actually been seeing some new pipes from him lately- do you follow his IG?

What's happening between photos 1 and 2 and photos 3 and 4?

Pic 1 is the inner lip of both halves still in one piece.

Pic 2 is the inner lip of both halves glued to the bottom and the bottom being relieved.

Pic 3 is the relieved bottom.

Pic 4 is the whole rough case glued together. It will be bandsawed back apart in the middle of the inner lip piece.
