That VA flake style is European, in particular Continental, though GH CR Flake is closer than most UK flakes. Former's flakes are similar, though Perique is more evident. Likewise Tordenskjold Virginia Slices and Aylesbury Sir John's and Classic/Virginia Flakes. My fave in this series is Dunhill/Peterson (Light) Flake (= Klondike Gold). I'm still sorting the McConnell and Charatan knockoffs of Dunhill. Sutliff's demise may have killed Wessex Virginia Slice in its cardboard tins, which strike me as close to the Aylesburys. Other casualties may be the MacBaren HH Pure and Virginia Flakes along with Capstan Gold. In fact, all of these (except CR) seem close, as if they are all the same flakes with tiny tweaks in topping.
