EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title (See Rule 9)

I'm shopping around for reed/bamboo stems for some old Civil War-era Pamplin pipes. Does anyone know the approximate diameter stems they would use?

Thanks!

Thanks. I have some dug clay Pamplin pipes on order and I'd like to have stems when they arrive.

Every year I think about harvesting a lot of the different sizes of the damned bamboo that's growing on our property, and trying to get it to dry properly without splittting down it's entire length. As the previous sentence indicates, I keep putting it off every year until it's too late for any of it to still be good.
