The lab I work at uses Mettler Toledo brand scales. Probably more accurate than you need and they can get pretty $$$$. A “good” scale will have a spirit level and adjustable legs. Most of ours can measure 0.01 grams but we have one that can measure 0.0001 grams. Not sure if they produce less expensive consumer grade scales.

I think you'll find using grams instead of ounces a good move for small amounts.

I have a Jennings JT2-350 which measures in hundredths of a gram. I actually use it for measuring essential oil weights with my mostly failed experiments at making Lakeland blends. It's overkill for anything else.

Here you go - electro-magnetic not strain gauge. You should be able to get one or similar for 6 to 7 hundred dollars. Just look up lab grade scales. I use a similar one for measuring smokeless powder for reloading precision rounds.
