Really weird dizziness! Help please!

Hey guys
I am kind of new to Pipe smoking. i used to smoke Churchwarden pipes (i have all the rare collectible Vauen Lord of the ring pipe :D )

Recently i went for normal pipe, and since the normal 9mm filter was too lose, the store gave me Balza filters which seemed ok

I used to smoke Velvet tabacco, until recently, i got a Davidoff Blue mixture box, which smelled quite nice. after i start smoking, NOT a full bowl, but just one fill of the pipe, i really REALLY started feeling dizzy and weird. i thought it was cause of an empty stomach, so again after lunch, the same thing hapened
Any idea? please? its really freaking me out, and i really love my pipe!

It sounds like the nicotine levels are too high for you, despite the fact that you have eaten.
I have not had that tobacco, however, Tobacco Reviews lists it as "Mild" in nicotine. Everyone's personal body chemistry is different so you may be a rare individual that is affected by this blend...
Your anxiety about the dizziness is also probably making it worse.
Can you describe the "weird" sensations any better?
I'm not a doctor, so exercise caution and monitor yourself, but it sounds like you are just suffering from a high dose of nicotine. I find dizziness, nausea, accelerated heart rate, and a state of panic have hit me when I went way overboard in the past... It is a very unpleasant feeling.
Do you have any known allergies?
Anyway, I just wouldn't worry too much since dizziness is common with new pipe smokers who have pushed their limits. I'd stop for now if I was you and try again later. If symptoms persist, you should probably stop smoking the Davidoff and try another blend to see if you have a similar reaction.

First thing-since i'm no Doctor (I'm only a Psych Nurse) I would advise you to see a doctor...
If this only happens when you smoke, I would change the tobacco and see of it still happens, or smoke less at one sitting. I would say it has nothing to do with the fact that you changed from a churchwarden to a normal pipe, the empty stomach might have something to do with it, or maybe since you havent smoked in a while, your body is getting used to you smoking.
If you inhale the smoke, i would stop...
Also the filters would be no issues, I've had the same experience with Mac Baren Honey & Chochlate, and after I stopped smoking that blend, it went away...so it may be the blend?

Well, its not really freaking out as panic :P but still, really uncool...
weird as in when i stand, i feel the world spinning around me head, kind of hard to keep straight normal balance and concentration, usually fades out within the next 20 minutes...
I thought it was of fast smoking... so i took it slower, and the dizziness was abit less, but still present.
Thing is, when i was smoking those Bilbo or Gandlaf churchwarden pipes, with a 9mm filter and Velvet or 7seas tabaco, i didnt experience any of those feelings
I have just notice quite a long crack INSIDE the tabacco pot of the pipe, could it be monoxyde carbon consuming and am inhaling it, making me dizzy ?
Nop, no allergies... just the fact that when i look at the sun for 3 seconds i have to sneeze once, then its gone :P

I have the same thing with University Flake. I am no stranger to nic as i smoke lots of 1792 but for some reason a few puffs of UF has me feeling ill.

I figured there was something in it that has a negative effect on me so i just leave it be

Same thing happend too me smoking Mac Barens Navy flake. I inhaled just to try it out, not a good move. I got really dizzy and nauseous, it was not any fun at all, almost killed the whole pipe thing for me. I had to lay down and I think I slept for about 30 minutes on the decking outside of my workshop haha, lost track of time... as of today, Im not a big fan of that flake, its still in the tin, and will be for a good while.

And if it isnt the tobacco being to strong for you? The nicotine could be giving you Vertigo attacks. Look up Menieres Disease.

Most likely not due to the crack.
However, that is not a good thing. The crack inside means the bowl will end up burning out. It could be a defect in the briar or it could be due to the pipe being smoked too hot or both.
How warm do does your pipe get when you smoke it? If you cannot hold it in grasped in your hand, it is to hot. This is especially a problem on new bowls or bowls that have not been broken in correctly.
If you are smoking the pipe to hard and causing it to heat up, this could also be an explanation for the dizziness you are feeling as this will compound the effects of any nic in the blend.
How old is the pipe? If relatively new, you may wish to contact whomever you got it from and advise them of the crack. They may replace it for you. Reputable makers usually have a warranty period or will exchange the pipe for a new one with issues like this.

It sounds like nicotine to me. 9mm filters seem to be effective at removing nicotine.

I don't know how long you have been smoking, but the more you smoke the higher tolerance you get to nicotine. I have a very high nicotine tolerance. Also try the pipe without the filter. Most of us don't use filters. You may find it is a more enjoyable smoke.

Even though you're not inhaling, your description certainly sounds like nicotine overdose. May be caused by puffing too hard, smoking too rapidly, or it could simply be something about that particular tobacco and you which don't agree. There are several tobaccos classed as "mild" which do it for me, and even though I like the taste, I've learned to avoid them.
