I have 3 tobacco pouches. Most of the time I just take a tin or sandwich bag, of the tobacco, out to the garage to smoke. However, when I put tobacco in th pouches, I forget sometimes what I put in each pouch. Okay, I said this was a dumb question: anyone got an idea of the best way not to forget what brand of tobacco is in the pouch. Sometimes, my nose is just not that good. Duh, I feel stupid even posting this!

Maybe label it with a piece of masking tape? Either that, or have different color pouches for different blends. I brought a few in sandwich bags when I travelled last and I just wrote the name on the baggie with a sharpie marker.

I like to carry around two pouches with my favorite blends. But they are different enough that they are easy to tell apart. One is an aromatic and one is a latakia blend.
It's a good idea to label anything you are unsure of so you will remember what you like.

I only fill my leather roll-up with what I'm going to smoke that day.

If I'm going out and about... 1Q.

If I'm not going out and about... 1Q.

If I want something different.... I choose to dip into my larder.

But, the only thing I'll pack in my leather roll-up is..... 1Q.
There is one advantage to this other than knowing what's actually in the pouch...

The pouch isn't air tight and allows the 1Q to dry a bit... making it smoke much more easily.

And, I don't have to open the bail-top but once a day.

I always keep 1-Q in my pouch, too. It's great for anywhere, anytime and people love the room note. If I pack other stuff, I either bring the tin, or ziploc and sharpie it.

I tend to mix and match there is always room in the corner for pinch of something else . Just make a little note in a small book and you can take notes on your thoughts on each of the three blends . Soon enough the three pouches shall be empty .And you can label the next ones .

Thanks guys for the suggestions. I was talking to a friend about this and he uses a sandwich bag zip lock baggy and uses a sharpie. Then, if he wants to he puts the bag in the pouch. The ziplocks sound with a sharpie sounds like the best way to go.

Founding Fathers goes in the brown and black leather pouch and the other pouches get written on with sharpie. A very nice stainless steel sharpie.

I add a small scrape of paper with the name written with a lead pencil. I do not use ink as the is always some level of chemical residual that will volitalize and end up the the baccy.
