I love oysters but 62? I usually stop around 6.

I hope they were small oysters. Sixty-two is quite a few. In these parts, the saying is to eat oysters only during months with an "r" in them, so you met that criteria. I like 'em steamed or fried, raw not as much.

I am pretty selective about the raw food I take in. Sushi from a reputable place is about as far as I go with seafood. I worry about water quality where shellfish are concerned.

When I was young, I had a Native friend and we would wander the Puget Sound prying oysters off rocks at low tide. I wouldn't do that now.

Good fried oysters are fantastic!

My personal favorite preparation is Rockefeller. Absolute heaven.

62 would be a snack for this guy. He told me all about it during a golf tournament I was teamed up on with him. I just googled oyster record and his came up.

I wouldn't eat raw oysters unless I was absolutely forced to.

Sorry, it was a typo. I ate 12 oysters, that is a dozen, 62 would be much more than a dozen.
