Rattray's Hal O' The Wynd

This is a great tobacco.
The first bowl seems rather light weight and too mild on the flavor side. But, I'm into my second bowl tonight and finding that the mildness (my opinion) is one of the great things about Hal O' The Wynd.
The subtle flavors are so tasty that you just want to keep on smoking it.

HOW is a fantastic smoke. Pack, light and puff. It never fails to satisfy.

HOTW was my introduction to Virginias after I fatigued out on English blneds. A classic blend if ever there was one. Like a great many blends, the flavors pop if you dry it enough and smoke it very slowly.

Love it! I don't think of it as light, though. Lots of flavor and a decent amount of nicotine IMO.

Redglow: Mild? Not to my taste (or Workman’s), but apparently we all agree that, whatever its strength, it’s great stuff. Diversity of opinion keeps things interesting

I think it’s just me. I had a cold a couple of weeks ago and I think it may have had an effect on my ability to smell/taste the smoke. A few days ago, nothing had any flavor. Thought I had totally recovered. But, may have a couple more days to go.
Glad to know HOW is only going to get better!
