I've seen VaKyPer or VaPerKy, depending on the relative proportions of leaf. I've never seen single letter shorthands to refer to various blend types. But I'm also young and under informed.

Which one has the most or least perique? I like Old Gowrie but have not tried Halo. I think Gowrie used DFK and Halo uses Burley, but not sure. This evening I am trying Scottish Flake.

Yah, I have had Hal 'o the Wynd and love it just not the other two.

OG least perique, BC most, I think. All use DFK. There was a thread about this, let me rootle around.

Could anyone care to explain what you find the differences between these popular blends are, and which one you prefer? I myself prefer OG compared to HOTW, for some reason which I can't really explain, maybe the latter is a bit muted in flavor. I've never tried Brown Clunee.
