Lovely pipe. Does anyone know if the Blue Riband was among the first to use contrast staining? They did seem to stand out back when they were introduced.

I have a contrast stained Royal Comoys with the circular Made In England COM stamp that I believe pre dates the Blue Riband line.

Beautiful pipe, Bob. Really! There are definitely lines predating the Blue Riband that have the contrast stain; I have several.
