I am currently in the process of commissioning a set of Rad Davis Double Mahogany Blast pipes. The second pipe of my seven day set completed today. I think the blast on this one turned out spectacular! The next one in the queue is a 1/8 bent long shank Zulu.
Dimensions are:
Overall: 2 x 6
Bowl: 13/16 x 1 3/4
Weight: 40 grams
The stem is cumberland with an inlay of spalted tamarind.
Here is the link to the first pipe of the set.

Love the blast, it really picked up the rings and grain. The blast looks a little deeper than I'm used to seeing on his pipes. Is this a trick of the eye/photo? Regardless, a stunner. What a lovely pipe.

That is a beauty! And the weight is only 40 grams, for a pipe that size. Amazing.
How does he do that?
Enjoy that pipe

Chris that came out freaking awesome. What a great blast and the shape is perfect. That smooth top really looks great as well. I like the tapered stem and am going to change mine to one of those instead of the saddle. It is amazing how Rad gets a pipe that size to be so freaking light, it is going to be a fantastic smoker and really comfy, congrats buddy.

Thanks for the great comments guys. I am really looking forward to smoking it. While I am a huge fan of Rad's saddle bits, I already own three like that, and wanted to give my Rad collection a little more depth. It is unbelivable that it is so light. Rad definitely knows how to pick some quality briar.

Pruss, I have seen some others that have a deep blast like this. Harris and I have Tanblast pipes that deep. Peck and Mike have their "Briar Blues" pipes with a deep ring grain as well. They don't always turn out that deep, but man when they do, they certainly pop!
