Haha, Harris that was fast. I think I looked after about a half an hour and it was gone. That was a great price. I will score one eventually and love the traditional shapes like your two Lovat's a lot. He does a fine job on all of his pipes!

gwtwdbss, that is one of the big draws about Rads pipes for me, his take on the classics. There is a Rad for sale over at SF, but it is an acorn and I am not crazy about the shape, the guy selling it has a fair price on it. Congrats Harris that is a fantastic Lovat I am jealous. You may have noticed I've not been posting much lately. I've been suffering a severe case of heartbreak. Last week I lost out on a Dunhill Lovat with a silver band by just minutes that was for sale on smokingpipes. Man I've lost women that didn't hurt this bad. :crying:

gwtwdbss, no sweat, I hear you, give me the classic all day over some shapes. I do actually have three Rad Lovats, this is the first Rad pipe I ever bought back in the beginning of August, and it has totally changed my focus on collecting and how great and artisan pipe can smoke.

Mike, I am sorry for your loss. I will put you in my prayers for that all elusive Dunhill. Be patient grasshopper, your time will come. :lol:

Nice Harris, I sent him an email. Not sure if he does commissions but I am more than ready to purchase a Lovat from him if he does.

He most certainly does do commissions. I recently had a Dublin commissioned with him and I have a few more in the works with Rad. It takes a little time, but it is worth the wait.

I just got this one in and I lit up a bowl of John Aylesbury Luxury Flake and it is smoking cool and dry just like all my other Rad's. It is nice and light and a pleasure to clench, definitely a keeper.

I was just checking Rad's site. His prices seem very fair - but way beyond my budget right now. I am applying for a new job that will pay almost double what I am making now - if I get it, I may just commission a pipe from Rad. Wish me luck!

six, good luck with the interview. Rad's prices are very fair for the quality of work that he puts out. I see plenty of people charging way more for pipes that don't even compare looks wise or quality wise.

But Rad's pipes are incredible - his sandblasts are really gorgeous. I agree, his prices seem very fair for that kind of craftsmanship.
